FAQ

  • What does it mean to be a missionary?
Oxford Dictionary defines a missionary as, "a person sent on a religious mission, especially one sent to promote Christianity in a foreign country." Being a missionary means more than simply being someone sent on a mission. We believe to be a missionary means to live your life in the light of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. To live everyday intentionally with Jesus and His resurrection in mind, no matter where you are. Whether you are at home, working, or living overseas in a foreign country, you can live the Gospel out loud right now right where you are.
  • What is your denomination? What is your covering?
Found Ministries is a nondenominational ministry. We believe in the Trinity, Creation, the Fall of Man, Jesus Christ, His death and Resurrection, the Holy Spirit, and Jesus' Second Coming. To read more about our Statement of Belief you can find it under our About Section. We have two spiritual coverings. One is from Randy Clark's ministry: Global Awakening. We have our licensing through their ministry, and we have a secondary spiritual covering at a local level. Our local church, DuBois Light and Life, and their leadership team act as our local and intimate wise cousel and accountability after our Board of Directors.
  • What kind of commitment do you expect?
Depending on what degree of ministry you aim to take part in will determine level of commitment. Volunteers may commit for a one time missions trip, or for a short term internship 8-12 weeks, or for long term 6-12 months. *Staff we ask for 6-12 months of commitment. For each of these, we would evalute at the end of your commitment plan. *Taking Found's Missions Core Course is a requirement for those interested in joining staff.
